DFK NEWS - DFK ANZ DONATES $10000 TO RONALD MCDONALD HOUSE

In the spirit of support and giving, DFK ANZ launched our new combined charity support program phase in Darwin last week at the very successful DFK ANZ Annual Conference Gala Dinner, presenting Ronald McDonald House Charities with a $10000 cheque. And this is just the start of the contribution we can make as an association.

RMHC is an independent, non-profit organisation that helps seriously ill children and their families when they need it most.

As you read this news article, as many as 250 families will be preparing to sleep at a Ronald McDonald House tonight somewhere around Australia, which translates to more than 6000 families each year.

It’s no wonder that many of members of DFK had a tear in our eye as they watched the video provided to us by RMHC that highlighted the stories of several families who have had their children in treatment and shared their stories of the strength needed to pull through from such a demanding and frightening experience.

We‘re excited to have the opportunity to support Ronald McDonald House Charities in the fantastic work they do for seriously ill children and their families. Individually we may not be able to make a significant difference to a charity addressing challenges of this size, but collectively we certainly can.

A huge bonus for DFK ANZ is that RMHC has a promoted awareness rate of 98% in Australia and around the world and after a qualifying period DFK ANZ Firms will be able to use the RMHC logo on documentation and our logo will be included on their website. Furthermore, it is a charity that is globally recognised. In 2010 RMHC Global opened its 300th Ronald McDonald House.

Our current focus on rebranding DFK ANZ with a new website and tagline ‘We make it happen’ also ties in with the significant change to the way in which we are engaging with charities and the public, the services we offer and the scope and shape of our activity as an association.

With each firm within DFK supporting RMHC, working together creating a unique synergy we’ll be doing a great thing, lending those in need a hand. We can make it happen!
